The land of the Murgia, the Trulli and the Caves…. the narrow plain along the Adriatic coast, the sinuosity of the mountains, the sweetness of the hills that characterize its landscape, the endless olive groves.
Land of dryness, of stonework, lonely stretches of quiet, countryside inhabited forever.
Land of work and struggle, of dazzling light, woods, gardens.
A land rich in history:history of changes, of immobility, of decadence.
History of mankind fighting against invasions and struggling with chronic summer drought.
But this is the history of Puglia, with its colours, its smells, its tastes.
And it is just from this story that in 1976, Donato Sabatelli began writing his history.

Creating a small workshop, Donato realized his dream of pasta maker: total loyalty to the past traditions of Puglia, the utmost attention to the natural balance of the environment, to give his pasta its pure and healthy authenticity.

To his pasta, he has devoted all his life: the many daily challenges reinforced more and more the courage to carry out his project. Never satisfied with the results achieved with the humility that has always been his hallmark, has always gone beyond .......constantly searching "something" that might increase the quality of his products, keeping unchanged the values that tell of his past and speak to us today.

With the support and the continued commitment of his sons, this project that tells his story and that would be passed down from generation to generation, is a consolidated reality.

The history of the Sabatelli family it not only the small original workshop: in 2008 a major production site was set up on the outskirts of the charming town of Castellana, a stone's throw from the Caves.

The Company, Sabatelli Gastronomy has become a specialist in the production of frozen pasta - simple, filled and special - and in the production of ready meals in mono and multi portions.
